Kylie Jean 6.0

On April 6th, Kylie turned 6.  Her golden birthday.

She celebrated with an afternoon out with her BFF, Izzy and the baseball practice for Will.  At 6, she is bold and stubborn, sassy and athletic.  She is a super picky eater, a good softball player and swimmer, she is competitive and artistic.  She is becoming a good reader.  She loves all "aminals" and wants to save them all, especially cats.  She feels emotions to her very core and prefers sunny weather to winter.  She drinks a lot of milk and when she finally falls asleep, it is a deep, deep sleep that you must not disturb.

She had her birthday party at a local painting place, where we painted cats of course.  She collected items for the cats at the shelter to be donated later this week.

Little League Season

Softball and Baseball started.  Will is in kid pitch this year and Kylie is in Coach Pitch and Mom is Kylie's head coach.  It snowed at opening day during Will's brutally freezing and windy game.  They won 14-13 in the bottom of the last inning with a full count and a guy on third for the other team.  Phew!  Kylie's team lost their first game to a team who has been playing together for a long time, but they did really well for a group of girls who are just learning the game.  Kylie hit the ball every time but the other team threw her out each time.

New England Trip

Mom and the kids went on a 5 day adventure to New England.  We flew to Connecticut, stayed one night, drove to Massachusetts, stayed one night, drove to Vermont, went to a wedding, stayed the night, met up with our New Hampshire cousins, went to brunch with the wedding crew, went to Ben and Jerry's factory, went to the horse farm in Vermont, drove back to Connecticut and got on a plane back to D.C, where we drove to Virginia.

February/March

We've been busy here.  Also, my computer is very old now and super slow and doesn't like to process photos, so it's very hard to get them onto the computer and then the blog.  Here are some from the end of February and all of March.  We went ice skating.  The kids loved it.  The whole family went.

We also went roller skating for Izzy's 6th birthday.  Again, they loved it.  We bought our own roller skates/blades so we can try again.

Will's art was in an art show at a studio.

And he went go kart racing with his buddies.

We celebrated Easter with our friends and dyed eggs.

And then it was April.
