Red Sox Rubik's Cube

A while ago, Nana gave us a Red Sox Rubik's cube. It sits there on the coffee table, taunting anyone who sits down on the couch. It finally got the best of Josh this weekend, and he could not rest until it was done. Everyone took their turn trying to solve the puzzle and finally (with a little help from the internet), it's done! Such determination in this family!

Happy Anniversary

"Newlyweds become oldyweds, and oldyweds are the reasons that families work." ~Author Unknown

So maybe we aren't "oldyweds" yet, but we celebrated our 2 year anniversary this weekend. We were lucky enough to have Gram and Gramps visiting and more than willing to babysit...who knew it would be so hard leave Will and go on a date? We nervously waved goodbye to a sleeping Will and Gram as we went out to dinner at Unos Pizzeria. Luckily, there was a magician at the restaurant to distract us! He did all kinds of tricks at our table for us, including making two foam rabbits turn into two foam rabbits with 7 rabbit babies (rabbits are like that!) in Megan's hand! He also made silver dollars appear in Josh's fist out of thin air! We will probably never stop trying to figure out how he did those tricks! We got in a meal and dessert and Josh got his 1st Sam Adams in a whole year. Gramps got to give Will a bottle, which they both seemed to enjoy and Will was up and waiting for his Mom and Dad when we got home, and he got in his night-time cuddle with Daddy.

Turkey!

Prepare for a lot of pictures!!! Gram and Gramps visited us for the long Thanksgiving weekend. They flew in on Thursday afternoon so we had Thanksgiving dinner on Friday. Will was all dressed in his Thanksgiving outfit that says "Thankful for Mommy and Daddy" when we picked Gram and Gramps up at the airport. We had a great weekend visiting with them, playing, shopping, touring Camp Pendleton and walking on the pier. Here are a bunch of pictures of our weekend, including the dinner! Happy Thanksgiving!

3 Months Old and Changing Every Day

Back in August....

This week, bundled up at the beach! That hood makes me look like I have Dumbo ears!

Will turns 3 months old this week and we can't believe how much he's changed since he was born. Besides his size, his hair is the most noticeable change! Look at that blonde hair growing! When he was born he had a full head of dark hair, but, slowly it's been changing to very blonde.

Little Dude's Story

Will has become very "talkative" in the last week or so. He's also very giggly, and sometimes wakes himself up laughing. Here's his "Home Alone" impression and a video of him telling his story. Enjoy!

Singing Butterfly

Megan's Aunt Pat gave Will this Boppy (TM) Gym when he was born. When he hits the butterfly just right, it plays a song and lights up with the beat. He's got it all figured out now and could probably spend the whole day under that magical butterfly. Here he is with the magical butterfly.

Scottish Heritage

Josh has always wanted to go to the Scottish Higland Games (http://www.sdhighlandgames.org/) which happen in Vista every summer, but he hasn't been around for them yet. After the Red Sox won the World Series and Papelbon got a kilt from Drop Kick Murphy's (http://www.dropkickmurphys.com/), Josh wanted to make his own in preparation for next summer. It looked like a very challenging project, so he started small...as in Will-sized. Here's Will's first kilt. Not many babies can say that their Dad made them a kilt.

Tah-dah! Nice work, Dad!

Hidden Talents

Occasionally, Will shows his "homeboy" side. We think he learned this stuff from his Uncle J. No babies were harmed in the filming of this music video.

Seasons Change

In California, much to our disappointment, the seasons barely change (don't say that to the locals, though!). Even though it will be a 70 degree Thanksgiving, at least the sports' seasons change! Will has traded in his Sox uniform for some Patriots gear. He will never forget his New England roots with us dressing him!

Remember that game when you were a kid? Two truths and a lie:

1. Will is wearing size 6 month clothes.
2. Will is playing linebacker for the Pats next week.
3. Will weighs more than the turkey his Gram cooked yesterday.

Go Pats!

Happy Halloween!

The moon was spooky so we knew it must be Halloween!

Will put on his polar bear costume for us and posed for a few pictures with his Halloween burp cloths and bib, courtesy of Gram. He was a very laid back polar bear and didn't even mind when Daddy bit his ear! Then, he changed into his Halloween PJs and his pumpkin hat (sent to him by Sean, Lisa and Ashley...thanks guys!) and we went grocery shopping! How exciting! Actually, the store was nice and quiet on Halloween...go figure. Oh, and thanks to Grandpa for sending Red Sox jerseys...you can see Josh wasted no time wearing his.
