What Little Boys are REALLY Made of

DISCLAIMER: The following video may contain material not suitable for all viewers. Bodily functions and bad table manners might be involved. You have been warned.

You know that old saying, "Snips and snails and puppy dog tails...that's what little boys are made of."? Well, it seems they left out a few things from that rhyme. Only a boy would find the following endlessly entertaining. Of course, we also found it funny, hence the video. Who knew it was that easy to make him giggle? Thanks to Gram for the cool outfit shown above...how appropriate!

Now, we are sorry to our parents for the poor table manners; we know you raised us better than that but who could resist such a laugh? Also, this was Will's first lesson in a Trainor family motto which was passed on to him tonight, "Not everything your father does it right." Hehe.

Hi Dad!

Will has started to figure out about what time his Dad comes home. He gets so excited when the door opens around 4:30 and he doesn't take his eyes off of Josh until bedtime. Here he is, greeting Josh in the afternoon.

And here he is, foaming at the mouth after an intense playtime session with Daddy. He looks like this at least once an hour lately. He's a human fountain, but the cutest fountain we've ever seen!

Momma's Boy

We finally got Daddy to be the photographer and get some pictures and a video of Will and Mom playing and reading. Here's the happy boy with his mom.

Music to My Ears

Josh has a guitar that once belonged to his aunt, and then his mom, and now it's his. Looks like someday, Will is going to be claiming ownership of the guitar. He figured out how to pluck the strings to make different notes and had a great time sitting with his Dad, playing the guitar.

Lion Tamer

Just before bedtime, Will was getting the last of his giggles out while playing with his stuffed lion. He really showed that lion who's king of the jungle around here.

Grammie and Grandpa Part II

Grammie and Grandpa made their way to Vista for lunch with Will and Megan on Monday afternoon. They found Will and Megan still at the park after Stroller Strides and were able to have a nice visit playing and reading with Will and eating lunch before heading back to snowy Massachusetts!

A Visit from Grammie and Grandpa

Grammie and Grandpa came to visit the California Plateniks this weekend. We got to visit with them and Aunt Jackie, Uncle Joe and Joey. On Sunday, we spent the afternoon at Uncle Joe and Aunt Jackie's visiting and playing.

We played inside... Will was impressed with everything his cousin Joey was able to do and how quickly he can move around the outside of that exersaucer! Will tried to keep his eyes on Joey but he sure moves fast!

Then, we played outside! The boys put together a tool box and then played a rousing game of baseball. When everyone was tired out, Duchess was more than happy to recieve attention from anyone willing to pet her, especially Will!

Laundry Day

Ok, ok. We know what you're thinking. Are they really going to post about doing laundry? Well, here's the thing: we had what we thought was a boring weekend since it was raining (yes, it DOES rain in Southern California... it's called a "winter storm"). So, we did our normal laundry on Sunday afternoon. Well, as we were folding laundry with Will as a supervisor, he began to giggle uncontrollably whenever Josh flapped a shirt into the air to straighten it out. Of course, we quickly grabbed the camera to capture such joy in laundry (he gets that from his Dad). We can only hope his love of folding clothes lasts well into his teenage years.

Giraffe Hunting

Here's what happened: we gave Will his bath, read him his bedtime story, and let him join us for dinner thinking it might be cut short by his readiness for bed. Little did we know that the pajamas he was wearing would entertain him well past dinner and cleanup. You see, these particular jammies have little giraffe heads on the feet, and Will has just discovered he has feet. Imagine his delight to see these creatures down there looking up at him! We would like to thank whoever gave him these PJs. Dinner was delicious and we were able to enjoy the whole thing together thanks to the giraffes on Will's feet.

We also hope you like the new look of the blog. Comments are always welcome!

Starting off on a Roll...

We've been waiting and waiting for Will to start rolling over and he never seemed interested. Then, this morning, as if by magic, he just started rolling over! He was pretty pleased with himself like he knew all along he could do this, but he was just holding out on us. Here's his new trick. Watch out world; he's mobile now!
