Halloween

Thursdays are so busy for us.  Mom works from 10:30-3 and Kylie hangs out at the Y with her.  Will was at school, of course.  Andi, Kylie and Izzy left the Y around 2 and Mom picked up Alex and Will from school at dismissal time.  We all met back at the Gabors for trick-or-treat fun!

We started off strong but Kylie quickly faded out as soon as she got her first lollipop.  She has done this the last 3 years.

Will was still going strong right up until the end and was so excited to find a real sized candy bar in his loot!  Happy Halloween!

Will's last AWESOME game

Will had his last T-ball game tonight.  He moves up to coach pitch in the spring.  He had SUCH a great attitude tonight, thank goodness.  His playing reflected it, too.  He was a vacuum on the field, scooping up grounders and making great throws.  He smashed the ball to the grass twice.

Punkin Carving

After the baseball party, we hurried on home to carve the punkins.  We realized we really won't have time during the week to get this done before Halloween, so tonight it was.  The kids were super excited.

So was someone else.

Will was asleep as the door to his room was closing tonight and Kylie was not far behind.  And here we go, into another week!

Fall Ball Ending

We only have one more game of fall baseball.  Thank goodness because it was 30 degrees out at the game on Saturday morning.  There was much wining and some refusal to play due to coldness, but eventually everyone perked up.

Today, we had the end of the year party at Will's friend Aiden's house.  Aiden is the other kid being held by the coach in the photo.  After about 2 weeks of Kindergarten in the fall, Will reported that the boy he sits next to on the bus is on his baseball team.  It took them that long to realize they already knew each other.  It turns out that Aiden lives just through the woods from us on a big farm.

There was a giant bouncy obstacle course, a playground, a trampoline, pizza, cake, candy, raffles prizes, trophies, and a bunch of friends.

Will is known as a really good hitter, and the coach made comments about each kid.  He was being bashful here.

We have met some great families through Little League and made a lot of new friends.  I am sure we'll be getting together again with some of these families from the fall, especially since Will, Alex, and Aiden all go to the same school.  Only one more game on Wednesday.

"Will is Havin' a Party"

Found this sign hanging near the garage entrance.  Apparently, Will was hosting a party on Saturday and tickets were available for a slight fee.

Monday, Monday

Today was Kylie's big field trip to the pumpkin patch!  It's the same farm we go to all the time, so we feel like it's "our" farm.  We got there a little bit before her classmates so we explored a bit and took some pictures.

When her classmates arrived, we went on a hayride around the farm followed by feeding the chickens and seeing the cows, sheep, and goats.  We picked pumpkins and ate lunch and played a bunch more.

Baby Madison was there, too.  Same baby from the Creepy Crawly Carnival.  Kylie insists on holding her all the time, often telling adults to take their hands off because "I got this."

After the pumpkin patch, Mommy had to go to work so Kylie went home with Izzy.  After work, Mom picked Alex and Will up from school and we got ready for their baseball game.

Will did great out there again.  It's getting chilly and dark at these games.  Only two more before we move on to basketball season.
