Kitty Cat Capers

Will's Kindergarten "Spring" musical was today and tonight!  It was also supposed to be yesterday, but we had our 15th snow day.  Today, there was a 2 hour delay.  Winter needs to END.  At least they got to have their play.  It was about cats who were in a finishing school trying to learn different things so they would be adopted.

St. Patrick's Snow Day #1782

Yesterday, Will and Kylie got a box in the mail from Gram and a Leprechaun.  Will immediately took the box off to create a trap for a leprechaun.  In the end, Dad helped him create a trap which he set up outside his room last night.  

This morning, we had 4-5" of fresh snow.  No school.  Again.  Today was supposed to be the first day of the extended school day to make up for all the snow days.  Will's school will be going 25 minutes longer every day for the rest of the school year in an effort to make up all the delays and snow days we've had.  It's going to be an adjustment and a very long day.

But, today, we stayed home.  Played in the snow.  

And by, Friday, we'll be back at baseball practice.  Will has a school musical tomorrow afternoon and night, and, even though there's already a 2 hour delay called, we are very excited to see his play.

We finally, FINALLY, had nice weather yesterday (and just yesterday).  Mom and Kylie spent the ENTIRE day outside.  We did a little pre birthday photo shoot and drew with chalk, jumped and danced on the trampoline and explored.  

Snow Day #978

Yesterday, on our way to the pool party, it was 70 degrees.  When we left the pool, it was 47 degrees and raining.  Very quickly, as the sun went down, the rain turned to ice and then overnight to snow.  By this morning, the world was a winter wonderland again.  No school.  Again.  And again tomorrow, too.

We had a late breakfast.  We = Mom and Kylie because girls love to sleep in and snuggle but boys need to jump out of bed and eat as much cereal as possible.  

We had to go to our neighbor's house and take care of their dogs because they got stuck out of town and the dog sitter couldn't get here.  So, we bundled up for that walk over and took care of the dogs.  Then we went sledding.

Will went out 2 more times after this, and Mom one more.  Kylie stayed inside where she colored and played board games and babies and princesses.  

Izzy's Birthday Party

Yesterday, Will had his first baseball practice and Kylie had swimming class at the same time.  Kylie mastered another skill at swimming and Will reported he's one of the best on his team.  So glad they both had fun and success at their favorite activities.  Today, we had a pool party birthday for Izzy.  It was Frozen themed.  The kids had such a great time swimming with all their friends.

There were snacks and activities after in one of the preschool classrooms.

Now, Kylie simply can't wait for her big day!
