Boosterthon Fun Run

Thursday was Will's boosterthon fun run at his school.  The kids run laps that are 1/16 of a mile in an effort to raise money for things the school needs.  This year it is more iPads and ChromeBooks.  They collected pledges for about a week and then had the big run.

The goal of each student is to run 30-35 laps.  Will ran 44.  He rocked that!

Mom and Kylie snuck over to the school on lunch break from the Y to watch a bit of the run.  We took some pictures, gave some high fives and then headed back to teach more P.E.  Way to go, Will!

Little League Season

The kids are both on Little League teams this season.  Mom is helping coach Kylie's team and Will is back with his best buddies on the same team he has been on for 4 seasons now.  They love it.

Will even got the game ball in his first game last weekend, going 3/3 with 2 RBIs and playing catcher and first base.

At Opening Day, there was a big parade and ceremony followed by games all day.  It was beautiful weather, too.

It's so fun to watch the kids grow up and learn so much in baseball. They are best of friends on the field and off.  Will's team, in particular is very bonded as a group and it is just such a pleasure to watch him have so much fun out there.

Wednesday

The kids were up and raring to go on Wednesday morning by 6:30.  We had time to eat breakfast in our room, get dressed, pack our car, and check out of our room before heading to the water park where we were still the first ones in line when it opened.

It was not nearly as crowded at this time of day, likely because everyone sleeps in who is above age 9.

The kids got under the big bucket when it dumped a bunch of times.

They each surfed again, with Kylie insisting on doing it the most daring way possible and wiping out in the wave.

That's her.  Everyone watching winced and said, "ohhh...she's not going to do that again"  but, she did.

The lines were super quick for the family raft ride and the double tube rides so we did those a bunch of times.  Talk about a stair workout.

We did the obstacle course again and Kylie figured out how to use the cargo rope above to get herself across even faster.

By noon, the kids all said they were done, which was fine because we had to get back home for TBall practice.  Busy, busy!
