Will was up at midnight last night, asking if it was Christmas. The answer was yes, but please go back to bed. At 5:30, he was up again, this time with instructions to go to his room and wait quietly until his sister woke up. He went to her room. Christmas miracle: she woke up when he went in there and asked her if she was awake!
Santa, Mom and Dad, and all our friends and family were so generous to us this year. The kids were so excited to open everything but took their time doing it, taking turns and reading each tag.
Will got his own stapler and he's delighted to see his finger can't get stuck under there. Last week, he stapled his own finger.
There were plenty of Lego sets and kitty cats and puppy toys. And 4 new babies plus more things to take care of them with.
Tank opened her own stocking and ran away with the bone, still in plastic. We had to track her down and unwrap that for her.
Kylie got the twins she's always wanted from Gram and Gramps. She was so excited!
and a mirror from Grammie and Grandpa. She practiced dancing in front of it, making faces, and finally set up her new beauty salon chair for dolls and did their hair.
We got the kids an Ipad and Grammie and Grandpa got Will a Kindle, so there was entertainment to be had too. If you didn't start to nod off first, of course.
The kids moved upstairs to do the cat's hair in front of the mirror in Kylie's room.
Will built a cargo airplane out of Legos, cracked open some geodes in the garage, and played Wii with Daddy in the basement. The Wii was a big hit with both boys. It was a real bonding thing for them this afternoon, as they competed in baseball and golf and tennis and go kart racing.
Merry Christmas to everyone!
