Easter Sunday

The kids found Easter eggs littering the upstairs hallway when they woke up.

The trails led to some hidden Easter baskets!

Our friends joined us for the 3rd annual Easter egg hunt at our house.

The Easter Bunny/Daddy really HID the eggs this year.  In fact, we're fairly certain the lawn mower is going to be spreading jelly beans for weeks to come at this point.

At first, it was everyone gung-ho to fill those baskets.

and the eggs were EVERYWHERE.

Pretty soon, though, our resident candy-aholic bowed out to check out her loot.

Everyone else kept hunting.

Happy Easter, everyone!  Let's hope Spring is right around the corner!

Baseball Practice

After our morning at the race, we grabbed lunch on the go and headed to baseball practice.  Last night, Will was AWESOME at practice, but, lately, his attitude is really not letting his true ability show in pretty much any area.

He spends a lot of time playing in the dirt, being told to stand up, pay attention.

When he does get his head in the game, he is very good at it.

Especially when it comes time to bat.

So, we're going to keep working on that attitude, but it's very frustrating to know what he's capable of and watch him flat out refuse to do it.

Hopefully, it will improve as we have better weather and more consistent practices and games.

Rabbit Run

This morning, The Y Team went out to support the Fredericksburg Young Lives Rabbit Run 5K, 1 mile Bunny Hop and .25 mile Bunny Chase.  

The whole team was there to cheer on some first time runners like our friend Kristen and even our buddy Alex, who has never done a race before.

Of course, there's teammates like Daniel who are experts at races.

Alex surprised everyone by rocking the 1 mile race, finishing it without ever walking in 10 minutes, 45 seconds.  

Ethan even ran the whole thing, too!

This was Kylie's first race and she was so excited to have her running buddy, Rio with her.

She also really wanted to catch that bunny.

And she's so proud of her medal, which she hung on her purple trophy shelf in her room.

After the awards were over, there was an Easter Egg hunt on the grass.

And then, it was on to baseball practice!  Hopefully, everyone will sleep well tonight!
