Rookie

We recently learned that Izzy, Kylie's best friend, is no longer severely allergic to cats.  Kylie has always wanted a cat and that was our reason why she couldn't get one.  When we learned that wasn't an issue anymore, we discussed it and decided to go ahead and adopt one.

Meet Rookie.  She's about 5 months old now and a very sweet kitten.  She purrs really loudly as you reach out to pet her.  She tolerates the kids carrying her and playing with her all the time.  She is NOT afraid of Tank at all.

It has taken a lot of patience teaching them to coexist but Tank is coming around.  We hope we will all be living in animal harmony soon.

Back To School

Well, we started school on September 8th, but things have been so crazy busy here.  Mom has more hours and responsibility at the Y, both kids are off to school and in baseball and Kylie has swim team some nights.  There's homework and housework and we added to our family (more to come).  

School is going well.  Both kids love their teachers and both are doing very well.  Kylie has Will's old Kindergarten teacher and Will loves his teacher for being "friendly AND organized".  Kylie has only come close to being in trouble once, and that was for "not letting Mrs. T be the teacher".
