Fair Time

The fair is back in town!  Will has been waiting all summer for this day and it came complete with a Monster Truck show this year!

First stop, the animals.

Then, we headed right down to the midway to see the Monster Trucks.  It was a bit crowded in that area, so we checked out the parked trucks and watched a few trucks drive around and then headed back to do some rides before the show.

The girls were just barely tall enough to ride only a select few rides alone, but they LOVED it.

We tried for a group picture, but someone wasn't cooperating.  Kylie?  Kyliiieee?

She gets angry when she's hungry, so maybe some ice cream will do the trick.  Sharing, and all.

Back to the Monster Trucks, where it was now VERY CROWDED and also very hot.  The kids could only see when on top of an adult, and boy, was that a workout.

Kylie was the first to lose interest, so Mom took her over to ride the horses, which she didn't do earlier when she was eating ice cream.

She loved it!

Back on the rides.

And finally, a few games.  Each kid threw a dart and each kid popped a balloon!  Kylie even popped two!  Brave of us parents to give them all darts, huh?

It wouldn't be a fair without some tractors, so everyone climbed on for one last photo before heading home to cool down and eat dinner.

Another successful trip to the fair!

Water Park Saturday

There's a shot of almost the whole water park that we spend our afternoons at.  Minus, the sprinkler/splash pad area that I was standing on when I took the picture.  And there's our #1 swimmer, heading back to the pool.  He's a very independent swimmer and therefore, hardly ever in any pictures at the water park.

Since Daddy came with us today (a big deal!), Mommy was able to play and swim more with Will, which is rare.  Usually, he's off with his friends and Mommy is all eyes on Kylie.

Not to say Kylie didn't need all eyes on her, but she's somewhat well known at the pool.  In fact, several people today nudged people they were with and said, "There's that 2 year old I was telling you about!  Watch her swim!"  Yes, she draws quite a crowd swimming.  It's really quite amazing.

Family Fun Festival

After our morning at the Tribal Quest race, we headed over to the Y for more active fun.  Actually, Mommy had to teach at the annual Family Fun Festival, so the kids got to explore the activities with Daddy and then again with various other Y friends while Mommy stayed in the aerobics room teaching kids fitness classes.

We did obstacle courses and Drums Alive and even some dance classes.

Hopefully everyone sleeps well after our busy busy day.
