Zoom Lens Test Run

Mommy's been saving her dollars and finally saved enough to buy a zoom lens for the camera.  Since Little League starts in a few weeks and they probably won't let Mom out on the field to take pictures, a zoom seemed like a good solution.  Today was the first nice enough day to try it out outside.

The best part is, the kids don't know they are being photographed, so they can't be uncooperative.

Only their goofy selves.  

Happy Birthday, Izzy!

Today was Izzy's 3rd birthday party!  It was at the same gymnastics place that Lilly's was last month, but the staff was much more organized this time and kept the kids listening and following directions for the most part.

Pizza was served first.  Andi asked everyone, cheese or pepperoni?  Kylie enthusiastically answered, "CUPCAKE!"  She knew what she wanted.

Will 5.5

The boy is 5.5 today!  In honor of this occasion  he brought half a cupcake for each member of his class.  

He also participated in a 5.5 year old interview.  

He has done this since he can talk, and he's always such a good little participant.  The other child in our family would rather not be filmed, thank-you-very-much.

LegoFest

Will and Mom were up bright and early this morning, heading to Richmond for the LegoKidsFest.  

We were the first ones in one of the four lines to get in.

We watched the lego team shovel the bricks with snow shovels!

Will has seen that Lego lion before....stay tuned for a flashback photo.

Lightning McQueen made of Legos, a comic book page, the Hulk, Batman, Buzz and Woody were just some favorites.

In the middle, there was a giant brick pile.

Will made himself comfortable building.

Then, we moved on to the raceway where you built a car and tried it on the ramps.

and on to Hero Factory, a kind of Lego we had never played with before but Will definitely enjoyed.

and on to the city-scape area.

We stopped to watch the Bissell clean up contest in the middle.

And then on to Mom's favorite station of the day; the art gallery.

Will made a flag using all the individual sized Legos and then added it to the art gallery.

There were a lot of cool creations.

Over to LegoNation where the United States was marked on the ground and everyone could build and add to whatever state they chose.  Will added to Massachusetts.

Final stop: the gift shop!

We stopped for milk on the way home, and Will insisted on looking in the Lego aisle at Target and then came home and spent the rest of the night building Legos and playing with his creations with Dad.
